Espasol rolls in banana leaves

Espasol is a cylinder-shaped Filipino rice cake originating from the province of Laguna. It is made from rice flour cooked in coconut milk and sweetened coconut strips, dusted with toasted rice flour.[1]

Variations of espasol

   * Espasol de Glenn, a mixture of rice flour, coconut milk and condensed milk.
   * Espasol Peñaflorida, a twist on the traditional espasol made by adding taro root and ground cassava, invented by Filipino pastry entrepreneur Mark P. Penaflorida in the province of Iloilo.[citation needed]
