These three editors are insistent upon removing Mary J. Blige as "Empress of Soul" from Honorific nicknames in popular music in favour of Gladys Knight. Comprendo has a history of editing articles relating to Knight, whereas Cole Hayes is a recent arrival with no previous edits and exactly the same agenda as Comprendo. I have set out separate points and specifically invited Cole Hayes to respond to #4 here. Today, Comprendo replied here. I have asked Cole Hayes to confirm whether he has used any other accounts here, but there has been no reply. The IP editor has made only one edit on this topic, and may be the underlying for Cole Hayes prior to creation of that account. All these editors use similar arguments about the number of sources describing Gladys Knight, rather than Mary J. Blige, as "Empress of Soul", and insist that Blige should be totally excluded in favour of Knight. There is also no overlap between the contributions of these editors, all of which occur at the same times of day. Accordingly, it is my belief that Cole Hayes is a sockpuppet of Comprendo, and has been created to create a false sense of consensus. Rodhullandemu 22:51, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I am Cole Hayes. 1. I have only one account with wiki 2. I have only joined wiki recently, and was promted by this article to start getting involved 3. I am a bit slow in figuring all this out, how to reply and so on. Please cut me some slack...LOL 4. I 'think' I know who 'Comprehendo' may be, and have asked someone I know to confirm whether this is them or not 5. I don't have a clue who the number account is? 6. Is there any data I can/should supply to prove who I am? I.e. my hotmail account, or Face Book account or mobile no. etc? 7. I live in Australia, yesterday was Australia Day (26th Jan) so I was out celebrating in the City rather than checking wiki.
Please let me know of anything I should do...
Thanks in advance...Cole

I had given info in the Discussion page to this Project Page, however a guy named JohnCD has removed the page. I added my contact info so maybe this why?
Anyway, please let me know if more info is required from me. Cheers...ColeCole Hayes (talk) 15:24, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello Rodhullandemu,
1. I have answered your point 4 on the discussion page. Please reply at your earliest convenience. I really don't see how you can knock my simple argument, as it relates to the pages own criteria for inclusion. 2. If debating on a topic and using the same arguments is 'having the exact same agenda' I am guilty, in that both our points are truthful, correct, and logical. However, you may have noticed I am a bit more polite in my conversation. 3. I notice you have not bothered to debate my comments, except for Point 4, and instead have nominated me as a sock puppet? How about keeping to 'good faith' in future my friend. It would be much appreciated. I am here to debate, not attack.
Cheers...Cole Cole Hayes (talk) 15:34, 27 January 2011 (UTC) I just found this on 'don't be too quick to judge' : Only when editing is extremely disruptive may it be necessary to open a sock puppet investigation. I have only made 1 edit of the wiki page in question, and have since reverted to 'discussion' only? Why then should I be accused of being a sock puppet already?.... Cole Hayes (talk) 15:49, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Likely a meatpuppet recruited by off wiki canvasing via a fan site in this topic (you need to register to view the whole thing). In a editor assistance request he stated in relation to Comprendo, "who I think I might know from a fan site?", which seems to be less than honest. Rehevkor ✉ 17:33, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello Rehevkor, How are you showing 'good faith' to me in that comment? I have previously said that I first heard about the article from a fan site, asked if this means I am a meat puppet, and have asked someone on that same fan site if they are 'comprendo'. As you state above, I admitted I thought I knew the other person from a fan site. How is this being dishonest? I am worried I might be found a meat puppet before even figuring out all the rules! I have asked if there is any information that I need to supply in regards to this case against me and so far no-one has replied, except to criticize me.
I also state right now that I have not been 'recruited' to get involved. I have stated to who I 'think' is comprendo that if the 'administators' are not going to listen to logical arguments I have put forward I am going to give up. But now, as a brand new editor of Wiki, and the negative response I am getting off all these so-called 'experienced' editors/administrators showing me such Bad Faith and bad manners, Cole Hayes (talk) 18:13, 27 January 2011 (UTC)I don't think I will give up after all, just on principle. You have all made it abundantly clear to me that new users on Wiki are not encouraged. Well, I never liked bullying, and that is why I am seeking independent consultation from an experienced user. Cheers...Cole
- "EMPRESSGLADYS" had already stated she was editing under the name of "Comprendo". You can't really complain about bad manners with comments like "These guys on the wiki page are fucking idiots and morons in the extreme!" Rehevkor ✉ 18:26, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Rehevkor, 1. I do not consider I have bad manners for having a personal conversation! However, you are showing bad manners for airing my thoughts to people that I did not state those thoughts to. 2. Now I know it was EmpressGladys (who for some reason I thought was male) and you should be able to see my question to her whether she was comprendo! And that if the 'administrators' were not going to listen to what I think is 'common sense' then I was going to give up the fight! Will you confirm these statements as correct? seeing as you don't m ind repeating my comments! Cole Hayes (talk) 18:50, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Cole Hayes (talk) 18:52, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
- There's nothing more I have to say on the subject. Rehevkor ✉ 18:53, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh, OK so you'll post my personal comments when it suits you, but not when it suits me? How is that fair? Cole Hayes (talk) 18:59, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
This is a copy of a conversation I am having with a user below. But it's maybe more important to put that conversation here.Cole Hayes (talk) 18:57, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello there,
I am Cole Hayes and you have just mentioned that I might be a meat puppet.
I hope that is not the case...is there any information I can supply to you?
I am new to Wiki, and am trying to learn fast since this accusation.
I have also requested a 'neutral editor' for assistance on the wiki page in question.
I have also responded to comments on the wiki page discussion board recently if you care to have a look?
Cheers...ColeCole Hayes (talk) 16:39, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
- The question on my mind is how you came to edit that article. That your first edit was to remove the same text that has been removed by a bunch of other editors is, quite honestly, suspicious. Were you asked to edit the article and remove that? Did you find a link from another site that brought you here? Acting on another person's behalf is considered to be meatpuppetry, and is generally frowned upon.
- I'm not really familiar with the article, but it seems like there's been a battle going on about that text - and I believe you inadvertently got caught up in it. If you really have no connection to anyone else there, then I'm sorry that your first experience with Wikipedia has turned out to be like this. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:48, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Well, I may technically be considered a meat puppet? I was told of the article by a friend on a fan website. I am a fan of Mary's as well, so I wanted to check it out and was intending to defend Mary as not being the purpetrator of the title. However, when I looked at the citation and could not find any other evidence off google, and then read the 'criteria' of the page I decided to create an account and make the edit (deletion) and add my comment as to why. It was undone the next day so I have continued to debate rather than edit. I hope this does not mean I am a sock puppet? But if I am? I don't think the 'administrators' are listening to my logic, so maybe it doesn't matter. I think it's a bit funny that because I didn't 'happen' on to the article my opinion is invalid? I am not being directed as to what to say or do, and I am busy defending Mary against some Gladys fans that keep saying its Mary's idea! Happy to discuss further. Cheers...Cole Cole Hayes (talk) 18:33, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
I would like to repeat...
I heard about the article off 'Comprehendo', but am acting on my own behalf...not hers...
However, this maybe does not matter to whether I am a 'meat puppet'?
Cheers...ColeCole Hayes (talk) 19:05, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
An update on discussion with Arevkor Cole Hayes (talk) 22:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi there,
You really upset me by posting my personal comments made off wiki...I don't mind the meat puppet coments, but personal stuff is personal!
But now when I question you on this you run away to hide? Or just simply ignoring me?
I don't understand...Cole Hayes (talk) 20:21, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Why will you attack but not discuss?
Cheers...Cole
See Wikipedia:NPA#Off-wiki_attacks. I didn't "run off the hide" I quite clearly stated I had "nothing more I have to say on the subject." If you have a problem with that then.. I'm sorry? Rehevkor ✉ 20:24, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Apology accepted...but again I repeat that you used some information and not all, in essence an attack on me without telling the whole story...ah well...let's leave it to the arbitrators...I'm too knew to know the rules...and I did read you reference BTW...there are also plenty that I could reference showing my point of view...but we're not supposed to be wiki laywers...so I'll leave it at that...I do finish by saying you brought my comments to wiki...not me...so any offense is now being accelerated by you...before you gave me your reference...maybe you should ponder that also...Cheers...ColeCole Hayes (talk) 21:50, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

- It does seem suspicious, and there is some overlap that makes me think something's going on. But it could be meatpuppetry, so I'm endorsing to figure this out. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 16:15, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Meat puppett my arse! Missed Mary J Blige performing in Melbourne Australia (my home town) yesterday for the 2001 Raggamuffin tour and now have to drive 12hr roundtrip to see her in Adelaide before she leaves Australia for the 1st time in 19 years! I am my own person thank you very much! From now on I will spend my time watching for tour info rather than arguing with fuckwits on wiki who accuse me of being a puppet! Yes, you know who you all are!!!! Cole Hayes (talk) 01:34, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
This concept of sockpuppetting is new to me. I have been editing on Wikipedia for several years now and have dealt with "bullying" editors before. I am sure that this is what the one accusing me is attempting. Having read what sockpuppetting is, I assure you I have but one account and am not in any way engaged in sockpuppetting. And I do not believe the one levying the accusation believes it either. I just think sometimes editors can be intemperate and bullies!!!Comprendo (talk) 01:58, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
