The enhanced small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) is an enhanced version of the small form-factor pluggable transceiver. It supports data rates up to 10 Gbit. The SFP+ was standardized in July 2009.[1] It is a popular 10 gigabit Ethernet industry format supported by many network component vendors.[2]
