Chris Pile, born 1969 in Devon, England, was a virus-writer, briefly notorious as "The Black Baron".

In mid-November 1995, he was imprisoned for 18 months after be convicted of writing two viruses known as SMEG.Pathogen and SMEG.Queeg. Their names, as well as some of their activation messages are from the British TV show, Red Dwarf.
