Seniors in Biomedical Engineering and Biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta who take Introductory Neuroscience (BMED/BIOL4752) from Prof. Steve M. Potter have been writing new neuroscience-related articles for Wikipedia, or expanding neuroscience stubs, since 2007. They base their articles on an entire semester of research on their chosen topic, including reading peer reviewed articles, reading books, and interviewing experts. There are a number of assignments that lead up to the creation of the Wikipedia article, so by the time they actually edit a real Wikipedia page, they are well prepared. More details about this Project will be added soon.
