"System Addict" is a 1986 hit single by British pop group Five Star. It would become their second biggest-selling single with over 220,000 sales recorded. It was also the group's first Top 10 hit, reaching #3.[1]

System Addict 2005
"System Addict" was remixed and re-released in July 2005. Although it did not repeat its 1986 success and failed to enter the UK singles chart, it did hit #1 on the UK Dance Chart.[citation needed]
The video to the single was an updated version of the 1985 original version, with more graphics added to make it look like someone was on a computer "updating" the video.

On the second season DVD of Ricky Gervais' Extras there is a hidden feature that shows Shaun Williamson and Steve Merchant performing an almost candid dance routine to "System Addict".
