Previous rename

The previous content of under this article's name can be found at Linear least squares (mathematics) and the previous Talk page is at Talk:Linear least squares (mathematics). This renaming arose because the previos content had nothing to do with "numerical methods ....". Melcombe (talk) 10:24, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's certainly true of most of the previous content, but i'd say that much of the Linear least squares (mathematics)#Computation section could be moved here. Qwfp (talk) 20:48, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Some of that is relevant, but none has proper citations and there is no detail about why it is relevant to "numerical methods". And it looks as if most would need to remain in that article as well, for completeness of that article. Melcombe (talk) 09:42, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
