PCMOS
Appearance
PCMOS (probabilistic complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) is a semiconductor manufacturing technology invented by Pr. Krishna Palem[citation needed] of Rice University and Director of NTU's Institute for Sustainable Nanoelectronics (ISNE). The technology hopes to compete against current CMOS technology. Proponents claim it uses 30 times less electricity while running seven times faster than the fastest current technology.[1][2][3]
i-Slate
The i-Slate is an electronic chalkboard for students in developing nations.PCMOS chips are expected to be best suited for applications such as powering the I-slate's display or running streaming video on small screens (such as a cell phone), where picture clarity isn't as important as the message itself.[4]
