From New Jersey, Algorythm started making beats as a chil at an early age. making percussion patterns with his mouth, and beating on tables. Having a keen ear for music, throughout the years of not having a means of making music of his own, he often just bought music sequence video games to express his hunger for music. For example, Fequency, a game similar to Guitar Hero but you make beats. MTV music generator where he often put in good patterns and let his friends rap on them. Fast forward to present day and he is now using DAW's and MIDI modules to make music. Welcome to the world of Algorythm.

"I chose this name because i am a complex person musically as is a mathematical way of explaing how things work. And so my music is designed to make a persons brain work by using different musical expressions outside the normal patterns of todays beatmiths. Same modes and means, different concepts and expressions."

Do you play live?

No. No live performances. Only if you count webstreaming a beat session going live.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

Its a gift and a curse. Some people benefit from it while others suffer from piracy and such things. it has launched music into a whole new dimension. Anytime you can make a record at home and flash it to another artist, then flash it to an engineer who will mix it down and flash it back to you for you to review and post online, you know its gotten very serious and technological beyond some folks comprehension. Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the numbers are fair, and the contract is mutually beneficial.

Band History: Im a beatsmith. I havent reached out to anyone major persay, but i have supplied lots of people with beats in the local and regional hip hop community.
