Math-Bridge is an e-learning system in mathematics based on the ActiveMath software. The Math-Bridge project represents a transnational approach to reduce the number of drop-out-students in academic fields that heavily rely on mathematics, such as engineering or physics.[1][2] Responsible for the coordination of the project is Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI[3]). The project started in May 2009 and will end in January 2012. The estimated costs will amount to € 3.6 Million Euros, half of which is financed by the European Union.[4][1]
