In mathematics, geometrical transversal theory is a subfield of convex and discrete geometry that studies the intersections of classes of sets. Classical geometrical transversal theory studies the class of convex sets. In the literature of mathematics, "geometric transversal theory" (including "Helly-type theorems") is coded as "52A35" in the Mathematics Subject Classification scheme (MSC2010).[1]
