AlienBabelTech is an international collaboration of computer enthusiasts and professionals. It is a growing computing website that was officially launched on October 1, 2008 and was founded by David McOwen and Mark Poppin. The other founding members are Leon Hyman, Karan Singh and BFG10K.

The Mission

At AlienBabelTech we look forward to working with industry professionals and using our collective expertise and experience to be the most valuable resource with open lines of communication and approachable staff.

Forums

AlienBabelTech has a over 500 registered users and approximately 41,000 posts. ABT, as it is known for short, is among the top 150,000 sites [1] in the world. AlienBabelTech has many sub-forums used for discussions ranging from the highly technical to the comical off topic section.

Throughout the forum, free speech and expression is encouraged and this is done in a lightly moderated environment. The backbone of such freedom come via each member acting as their own moderator, using the Friend or Foe feature. This can be used to add a person who is trolling your discussions to the "foe list" so as to block out their posts. Others will see it just fine but you will not and the thread continues unperturbed.
