cheef.ru server fault?

There appears an issue with the cheef.ru server, which hosts all current refs for this page. Possibly a temporary issue, but I wanted to note it today and if not corrected we should remove them and hopefully replace with other references. Jocularjosh (talk) 16:53, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's 2010-10-10, and the links seem to be working. Guy Harris (talk) 19:16, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

APDUs that have nothing to do with smartcards

The term APDU also exists in several other protocols. I think it is a more general term. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.91.83.251 (talk) 15:31, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are entirely correct. In the OSI reference model, an APDU would just be a protocol data unit for an arbitrary application layer protocol, whether the protocol has anything to do with smartcards or not. Guy Harris (talk) 19:15, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps this article should be renamed "Smartcard application protocol data unit" or similar? Mitch Ames (talk) 12:15, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That would make sense. Guy Harris (talk) 06:57, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
