javad Alizadeh ( born in 1952) is an Iranian professional cartoonist who stared to draw cartoon since 1970. He is a self- taught cartoonist who has been graduated in English translation. Thus due to his university degree, he considers cartooning as a translation tool that can translate the life sufferings, hardships and mysteries into humour language. He is the founder, publisher and editor of the only Iranian current private and non-govermental cartoon magazine named: "Tanz-o- caricature" ( Humour and Caricature) who unbelievingly publishes it without stops, since 1990.( website: http://tanz-o-caricature.8m.com) He has workd in different styles and genres of cartoon and his works have been published in many leading foreign presses and publications by C& W syndicate in 80s and 90s ( such as:Who is Who in Satire and Humour , Nebelspalter, Chicago tribune, Courier international, Graphis annual, Osten, Mondial etc...) . He has won some 30 prizes in international cartoon festivals such as: first caricature prize in Anglet ( France) cartoon festival in 1990- Silver date prize in Ancona(Italy) cartoon festival in 1996- First cartoon prize in Ankara(Turkey) cartoon festival in 2007. He also has created an unusual scientific philosophical humour on "Relativity theory" who has titled it: 4D humour (http://javad.8m.com) Regarding it, he has published a continual Column in his monthly magazine with the same title, that could be an amazing record for a small magazine in that region of the world that posseses such scientific humourous column with fresh and unusual cartoons and humours on the amazing relativity theory and about the unusual amazing and great persons such as: Einstein and Newton! In the year 2005 The site of the physicists on the occasion of the world year of Physics, placed the link of his relativistic cartoons in its play physics page showing his scientific cartoons that was humorously the only cartoonist's link among the physicists!http://www.wyp2005.org/play.html Recently his Scientific cartoon about "twin paradox of Special relativity" has been shown and studied in the reading class and conference which was held by International Journal of High-Energy Physics site: "Cern.courier" in Trieste, Itlay, in October 2008, at: http://cerncourier.com/cws/article/cern/37331/1/ccspi3_01_09 He, despite a long background of cartooning, considers himself neither a good translator nor a good cartoonist!
