Sankwala Mountains are mountain ranges that lie southeast of the town of Obudu in Cross River State of Nigeria, north of the Okwangwo section ofCross River National Park and northwest of the Obudu Plateau on the Oshie Ridge of the Sankwala mountains.The mountains rise to an elevation of about 1,800 meters above sealevel.[1].

Climate

The climate on the Sankwala mountains is temperate.This has attracted tourist in recent years to the mountain top of the Oshie ridge where the popular Obudu Plateau is located [2].

Tourist activities

The Sankwala mountains are among a few natural locations in Nigeria that enjoy high tourist patronage.This has led to the development of the Obudu Mountain Ranch Resort on the Obudu Plateau which is located on the Oshie ridge which is one the ridges that forms the Sankwala mountains.[3] [4].
