Cyberoam security certifications - CCNSP, CCNSE and CCT are IT Professional certifications which validate the real world security knowledge and skills of system/network administrators, partner and sales engineers with widespread industry acceptance of their global standard requirements.[1] According to industry sources, technically trained IT professionals with a Cyberoam security certification have a much better understanding of the clients’ network requirements in order to complete complex installations at customer premises.[1][2][3]
Certifications subject matter
As enterprises increasingly undertake business transformation to the Internet, they face ever growing threats to their information assets and simultaneously have to demonstrate compliance with stringent regulatory standards for corporate governance.[4] Correspondingly, the demand for security certifications has been on the rise.[4] According to a news source, there is a 40-50% rise in demand for IT security professionals in the corporate sector which has created a huge job opportunity in the IT security space.[5]
Cyberoam security certifications were launched with the goal of fulfilling the market need for certified professionals in identity-based security which organizations are increasingly adopting with training in product installation, integration, support and management, advanced deployment, and advanced troubleshooting.[1] The main objectives of the training programs are to create professionals who are efficient, productive, and deliver lower total cost of ownership.[1]
There are three different levels of certification in the Cyberoam career certifications ladder.
Cyberoam Certified Network and Security Professional (CCNSP)

The Cyberoam Certified Network and Security Professional (CCNSP) is a basic certification program which equips the trained professional with greater awareness about insider threats and user-targeted external threats while giving them expertise in the deployment and configuration of security appliances at customer premises.[6] The CCNSP certification is valid for a period of 2 years. The course contents are as below.
- Evolution of Enterprise Security
- Implementing Security devices in the network
- Firewall Policy Configuration and Management
- User Authentication
- Feature Configuration – Content & Application Filtering, Anti-virus and Anti-spam, IPS, VPN, **Bandwidth and Multiple Link Management
- Identity-based Reporting and its Criticality
- Routing Concepts
- General Administration
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
Prerequisites and eligibility
The CCNSP certification is a basic certification program that has been designed for networking professionals who have familiarity with basics of networking, especially networking topologies and working deployment knowledge of a live network.
Cyberoam Certified Network and Security Expert (CCNSE)

The Cyberoam Certified Network and Security Expert (CCNSE) is an advanced qualification for CCNSP-certified professionals to understand advanced debugging and troubleshooting issues and to independently address them. CCNSE certification is valid for 2 years.[7]
Certified candidates learn about advanced product installation, integration into the network, configuration for various Cyberoam features such as anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering, VPN, IPS, High Availability etc. and support/troubleshooting issues.[7]
Prerequisites and eligibility
CCNSP certification is a must in order to register for CCNSE.[7]
Cyberoam Certified Trainer (CCT)

Cyberoam Certified Trainer (CCT) is the highest trainer-level certification program which certifies professionals to become CCNSP and CCNSE trainers. Certified professionals have access to a trainers only area of the Cyberoam Training Portal. The certification is valid for one year only.[8]
Prerequisites and eligibility
Both CCNSP and CCNSE certification clearance is required to register for CCT.[8]
Registration
Cyberoam allows candidates to register themselves online at its [9] with full access to course materials and webinars. Candidates are given a unique certification ID in order to proceed ahead with registration for advanced certification programs of CCNSE and CCT.[8]
Examinations
Each certification is available subject to the candidate clearing a manual examination for a corresponding certification program – CCNSP, CCNSE or CCT. All examinations carry objective type questions with multiple choice answers. In addition, some exams require lab demonstration of given scenarios. A minimum score of 75% is required to demonstrate certification clearance.[8]
