Reis Robotics is a leading technology company for robotics and system integration. Their robotic automation solutions are used by all major application fields such as solar energy, foundry and welding. The Reis Robotics group comprises three German subsidiaries and eight international subsidiaries as well as representative agencies in many countries.[1] Reis Robotics USA has two locations, the headquarter in Elgin, IL and the west coast technical center in Valencia, CA.
Reis Robotics was founded in 1957 in Obernburg, Bavaria, Germany by Walter Reis as a tool maker. Today they are market leader for robotic automation systems.
System Information
Reis Robotics designs and executes complete automation systems as a turnkey supplier. They offer technical consultation and planning as well as programming, commissioning and hand-over for production of turnkey systems at the customer's site. [2]
Application Fields
- Photovoltaic and solar systems
Reis is one of the biggest suppliers of complete turnkey assembly lines for solar modules (silicon and thinlayer technology).[3]
- Foundry automation
Complete automation systems on hot and cold chamber diecasting machines with spray robot, removal robot, quench tank, trim press, casting control, marking units, trim tools and safety package. They also offer pouring systems for permanent mold, sand casting and gravity casting.
- Welding and Cutting
Standardized and custom system concepts, offering solutions for all welding processes and tasks.
- Laser material processing
Based on standardized laser robots, Reis Robotics creates individual cells or complete automated production lines for laser welding and cutting. These are realized by interlinking different robot kinematics and integrating additional modules and special process technologies.
- Plastic industry
Reis Robotics produces IMM automation robots extending from linear to articulated arm to hybrid solutions with a uniform control and operator surface.
- System interlinkage and handling
Interlinkage of presses and machine tools of all kinds with articulated-arm robots up to 500 kg payload, horizontal robots up to 300 kg payload and linear robots up to 600 kg payload.
