Advanced Peer-to-Peer Networking (APPN)

is an extension to SNA with features including:

  • distributed network control
  • dynamic exchange of network topology information to foster ease of connection, reconfiguration, and route selection
  • dynamic definition of network resources
  • automated resource registration and directory lookup.
