Java Joel
Former radio personality of Top 40 WKSC 103.5 Kiss FM Chicago. Java Joel hosted a nightly weeknight radio program called "The Rubber Room". His show was also heard in other cities such as WKGS/Rochester NY, WAKS/Cleveland, WKST/Pittsburgh, KKRZ/Portland Kiss FM/Tulsa, Kiss FM/Jacksonville, and Kiss FM/Cinncinati. The Rubber Room had 3 main memebers who were Java Joel who was the host, Jdogg who was the producer/sidekick, and Silly Jilly who was the female sidekick. Many other people stoped by the show including Joey T, Joe V, Chris Kelly, Camps, and Alex. In April of 2003, The Rubber Room made national headlines after Java interviewed pop singer Justin Timberlake and pissed him off which resulted in Justin telling Java to "take a valium bi*ch". Java has won such awards such as the Silver Dome Award and the Jock Conference Slammer Award. Java was fired from WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM) on Tuesday, Janurary 11th, 2005 when at about 9:30PM Java played the Mr. Belevedere theme song and then made a racial remark regarding the African American Race. Since his firing, Java has appeared on Stations in Philly, Y1039 (Crystal Lake,IL) and 1023 XLC Waukegan, IL). Most recentaly, Java was hired to work fill-in's on 105.9 WCKG Chicago's Free FM. Java currently lives in the Chicago Suburbs with his cat and his wife.
