Beneden-Leeuwen (51°53′N 5°31′E / 51.883°N 5.517°E / 51.883; 5.517) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of West Maas en Waal, and lies about 7 km east of Tiel, on the opposite (southern) bank of the river Waal.

In 2001, the town of Beneden-Leeuwen had 5626 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 2.1 km², and contained 2168 residences.[1] The statistical area "Beneden-Leeuwen", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 5990.[2]
