Scoreloop
Appearance
Scoreloop is a social gaming network for the iPhone. The company behind the software for Scoreloop, based in Munich, Germany, raised US$2.8 million to help create the service that they founded in 2008 but launched in April 2009, which features online high scores, player challenges, and virtual currencies. Investors include Earlybird Venture Capital and Target Partners. As of August 2009, the company claimed that the network had 500 registered game developers that published over 40 games in the App Store.[1][2] In March 2010, Scoreloop gave developers that used its service the ability to monetize their apps using the company's services.[3] The network later added support for Android apps, too.[4]
