An evolutionary algorithm (also EA, Artificial Evolution) is an metaheuristic optimization algorithm using evolutionary techniques inspired by mechanisms from biological evolution such as mutation, recombination, and natural selection to find an optimal configuration for a specific system within specific constraints.
