Questions

- "it reduces noise in the estimated power spectra in exchange for reducing the frequency resolution". Can one give more detail about this tradeoff?

- What exactly are the units of the result?

- "The windowing of the segments is what makes the Welch method a "modified" periodogram" --- Actually, ALL of the processing steps make the Welch method a modifed periodogram! (splitting into segments, windowing and averaging)
