The SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications (SIMAX), formerly SIAM Journal on Algebraic and Discrete Methods is a scientific journal focusing on the research articles in matrix analysis and its applications and papers of interest to the numerical linear algebra community. Applications include such areas as signal processing, systems and control theory, statistics, Markov chains, and mathematical biology. Also contains papers that are of a theoretical nature but have a possible impact on applications. It is published by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The founding editor of SIMAX is Gene Golub who established the journal in 1980. Currently, Dianne P. O’Leary (University of Maryland) serves as the Editor-in-Chief of SIMAX.

Editorial Policy Due to space limitations, it is recommended that papers submitted to SIMAX be limited to 20 journal pages. Longer papers can be considered but authors should be aware that such papers are harder to referee and therefore take more time to review.
