Introduction

Following it's success with the overwhelmingly popular Roboraptor is WowWee Toy's Roboreptile robot dinosaur. Unveiled at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, it is a smaller, faster and vastly more agile robot dinosaur. Note: This toy robot is not available yet.

Features

  • Size - The Roboreptile is half the size of it's predecessor, the Roboraptor.
  • Agility - Much more nimble than the Roboraptor, the Roboreptile can jump & hop, turn very quickly, and is rumored to be able to stand up on its rear legs.
  • Programmable - Although details are not available yet, WowWee has stated that it will be fully programmable like its other toy robots.
  • Interaction - Comes with several small toys that it can recognized and chase around.
  • Personality/Moods - The Roboreptile will have 4 different moods to accentuate its personality; ferocious, aggressive, passive and tamed. The Roboraptor has 3.
  • Sensors - It will have sound, touch, and visual sensors.
  • Cowl Accessory - The Roboreptile's cowl is used to calm it down when it becomes too aggressive.

Notes

WowWee took a serious look at the limitations of the Roboraptor and has created a new robot dinosaur that is eagerly anticipated by robot enthusiasts everywhere. Current sources say the Roboreptile will not ship with a remote control as part of WowWee's plan to phase them out. However, although unconfirmed, there is talk that a remote control will be available as an optional accessory.

Release Date

The expected release date for the Roboreptile is June of 2006.
