CHNC is used as the acronym for a method in many-body theoretical physics known as the Classical-map Hyper-Netted-Chain technique. It has been applied to interacting uniform electron liquids in two and three dimensions, and to interacting hydrogen plasmas.

In this method, the pair-distributions of the interacting particles are calculated using a mapping which ensures that the quantum mechanically correct non-interacting pair distribution function is recovered when the Coulomb interactions are switched off. The value of the method lies in its ability to calculate the interacting pair distribution functions g(r) at zero and finite temperatures. Comparison of the calculated g(r) with results from Quantum Monte Carlo show remarkable agreement, even for very strongly correlated systems.

The interacting pair-distribution functions obtained from CHNC have been used to calculate the exchange-correlation energies, Landau parameters and other quantities of interest in many-body physics and density functional theory.

CHNC is a French-language Canadian radio station located in New Carlisle, Quebec.

Owned and operated by Radio CHNC Ltée, it broadcasts on 610 kHz with a daytime power of 10,000 watts and a nighttime power of 5,000 watts as a class B station, using a directional antenna with a single directional pattern in order to protect various other stations on that frequency.

CHNC's programming is also heard on CHGM, which is located in Gaspé and broadcasts on 1150 kHz with a power of 5,000 watts fulltime. Local programming from CHGM ceased completely in 1986.

The station has a full service format with music programming being a mix of classic rock and country.
