The Triad Method is a method for calculating the inclination of an object based on two known vectors in relation to that object's axis system[1].It was developed in 1964 and first publisehd in the Journal of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Explanation
The triad method is in essence a change of basis where a cross product based on the two existing vectors produces a new vector orthogonal to the existing ones, then a 2nd cross product operation produces the 3rd vector thus providing a new 3-axis system which can be used to build a rotation matrix.
