Windows for Pen Computing was a series of Microsoft-produced add-ons for Microsoft Windows versions in the mid-1990s with additional tools for Pen computing PCs. Windows for Pen Computing (also known as Pen Windows and W4PC) was developed as Microsoft's Pen computing response to the PenPoint OS by GO Corporation. [1] Windows for Pen Computing was obsoleted by the Tablet PC support for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition in 2002.

Windows for Pen Computing 1.0

Windows for Pen Computing 1.0 was an add-on to Windows 3.11 with support for pen input.[2] It shipped with various pen tools, including a writing trainer, an on-screen keyboard, and a note pad. The Windows help was also replaced with a Pen computing version. Windows for Pen Computing 1.0 was typically packaged with pen hardware sold at the time, and was also included with the Windows SDK.

Windows for Pen Computing 2.0

Windows for Pen Computing 2.0 is an add-on to Windows 95 which adds pen input support. It has to be installed separately, and does not include any pen tools, unlike the previous version.
