Monodactylus sebae, also known as the Fingerfish is a brackish and saltwater fish from the eastern Atlantic, ranging from the Canary Islands down to Angola. It favours mangrove swamps and similar shallow waters.

This species is also bred in captivity as an aquarium fish.
