Critical reception

The Randy Lewis of Los Angeles Times said: "Rapper Drake's background vocals bolster a sexy highlight" [2] reaffirming that the Matthew Cole of Slant Magazine said: "every flash of genius is dragged down by some accompanying misstep or platitude: "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)" starts out moody and evocative but ends up floundering in its own dreary atmosphere".[3]
