Using program language safety

I'm pretty sure that JX proposed using language-based protection instead of VM separation in a kernel before Unununium (operating system) did, but then I don't actually know when work on the latter started, so I'm not going to change it. JulesH 10:56, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
