A reference clock may refer to the following:

  • A master clock used as a timekeeping standard to regulate or compare the accuracy of other clocks
  • In computing, it is the clock signal frequency that is coordinated upon multiple times per cycle, as compared to the effective bandwidth produced by the multiplier effect
