Formspring is an Online Form Builder and Internet hosting service, which enables users to create online forms such as surveys, contact forms, or event registrations. In late 2009, they launched Formspring.Me, a social media site where users can ask each other anonymous questions. Formspring.Me, which links to Facebook and Twitter, became a craze in early 2010.[2][3] In response to its sudden popularity, microblogging site Tumblr launched a nearly-identical service called "Ask Me".[4]
