Silence Compression:Silence compression provides an excellent way to squeeze redundancy out of the sound files.Silence compression scheme is essential for efficient voice communication system.It allows significant reduction of transmission bandwidth during silence period.

A Silence compression scheme include a voice activity detection(VAD), a silence insertion descriptor(SID),and a comfort noise generator(CNG) module.

Parameters used for silence compression: 1-threshold value 2-the way to encode silence 3-threshold for recognizing start of silence 4-an indication,when silence is over.
