Taylor Swift is the self-titled debut album by American country pop artist Taylor Swift. It was released on October 24, 2006.

Charts

For its' first week, the album sold 39,000 copies, debuting at #3 on the Top Country Albums chart and #19 on the Billboard 200. A few months later, after the radio release of "Teardrops on My Guitar", the album climbed to #1 on the Top Country Album chart and after the same songs' pop release, it climbed to #5 on the Billboard 200. It was certified platinum in May 2007, after only seven months of release.

The album has been on the U.S. Billboard 200 for 171 weeks and is currently at #65[3] and thus became the longest charting album by a country female artist in the entire Nielsen SoundScan era. [4] It has sold 4,658,181+ copies to date in the U.S as of the issue dated February 13, 2010. It also charted as number one on the Billboard Country Albums Chart for 24 non consecutive weeks. [5][6] It has been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA.[7][8] On September 6, 2009 the album entered the official UK Album Top 100, rising from number 138 the following week to number 88 and peaked at number 81 the following week.
