SyntheticPages is a free database of synthetic chemistry procedures. Users can submit procedures, but they are checked by an editor without undergoing any formal peer-review. The intention is to collect practical experience of conducting procedures in the lab, which other users can comment on.

While experimental methods are in an ordinary academic journal are listed concisely, the procedures in SyntheticPages are listed with more elaboration. Comments by submitters are included as well. Other publications with comparable amounts of detail include Organic Syntheses and Inorganic Syntheses.

The SyntheticPages site was merged with the ChemSpider Journal of Chemistry in February 2010 to form ChemSpider SyntheticPages.
