This is a test

Someone here should know more about this. For example, why's it called

Portland? Nagelfar 08:59, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
To the general point, I agree, it's surprising this hasn't been far more expanded, given its historical significance; perhaps there's some history at wiki which could be moved or copied here. As to why it's called Portland, I believe it was simply founded by someone in Portland, Oregon. Feel free to work that in somehow, I don't have time. - IMSoP 10:37, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
The Portland Pattern Repository is called that way because Cunningham & Cunningham (C2) is based in Portland, Oregon. Cunningham & Cunningham is also referred to as C2 because the name has two initial Cs. Cunningham & Cunningham operates its Web site at c2.org, which includes other apart from the Portland Pattern Repository. The someone in Portland is called Ward Cunningham.2004-12-29T22:45Z 16:55, August 22, 2005 (UTC)
That's what I assumed, but we'd need to be sure before I added it. I just didn't feel like e-mailing that PPR site to ask such a question, it doesn't have a FAQ or anything mentioning it named for the city 'where it was thought up.' Nagelfar 01:37, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)
I chose the name because the repository was in Portland, AND, because I wanted to promote a specific way of formatting patterns which I had dubbed the "Portland Form". Had the Portland Form caught on more then it would be clearly recognized as a repository of patterns in the Portland Form. (There are plenty of examples of the form, easily recognized by its conspicuous use of the word "Therefore". -- Ward
You can be sure about that. Cunningham & Cunningham is based in Portland, Oregon. 2004-12-29T22:45Z 16:55, August 22, 2005 (UTC)

The first two links in the external links section, Wiki History and Welcome Visitors lead be to a Forbidden page. Is this the case for everyone? Should the links be removed?

The links do work. They shouldn't be removed. 2004-12-29T22:45Z 16:55, August 22, 2005 (UTC)
