If you read this article without knowing anything about problem-oriented policing, you would have to assume that it has been a complete failure. While there are clearly reasonable people who disagree with POP, there is no discussion whatsoever of the many benefits that have come from using POP in several cities. I agree; this article is pretty opinionated and not well cited; thus not very useful. Suggest moving the opinion to a 'controversy' section and straightening up the rest with the facts, just the facts, ma'am. Happyguy49 (talk) 04:51, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article is terrible. POP has had its successes and failures, but like any philosophy in any profession, implementation is dependent on several factors, including the dediction of the entire department and the community. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but I would imagine agencies that often change philosophies and police based on buzz words instead of a commitment to a mission experience failure no matter what fancy tag they happen to be using this week.75.17.144.48 (talk) 20:00, 3 February 2010 (UTC)jazzz437.[reply]
