GCSE Systems and Control

GCSE Systems and control is a General Certificate of Secondary Education run by the AQA (Assessment and Qualifications Alliance) in the United Kingdom.

Specification

The cousre is a specialised branch of Design and Technology which focuses on electronics, mechanisms and pneumatics.[1] The students is required to sit two exam papers, each worth 20% of the qualification. These are the core Paper - which covers topics similar to those in Design Technology - and a option paper - which is on one of the three major topics. Also, the participant is required to produce a porfolio of course work, worth 60%, the porfolio is made up of approximately 20 A3 pages of research and design work and a product made by the student.[2]
