Notability

This article has been nominated for deletion based on notability issues. I feel this program has generated significant buzz within the McMaster community and educational community at large, to the point where it warrants notability. On that point, the program is generating some media attention as seen by a couple of the news articles, and is being presented and discussed in several educational lectures such as the upcoming Combining Two Cultures conference: http://www.combiningtwocultures.ca/?page_id=27 In regards to "reliable third-party sources," in discussion with the director, journal entries are about to be published and released in regards to the program, and will be linked as soon as possible. Questions

Okay, after reading this article I have the following questions & comments:

  • What are fully integrated studies? I would characterize the program from which I graduated in that way so what distinguishes this one?
  • What are Integrative Concept Seminars and what is PBL learning?
    • Having a guest lecturer every week does not make a program unique.
  • If this is within the McMaster Faculty of Science, should the page be merged there?
  • Who is in the program? Is it competitive? What students does it attract?
  • What are the stated objectives, the justifications for the program?

The article should be cited just like academic writing. You seem to have more information about the program than you're using. Err on the side of excess. --Sainge.spin (talk) 08:07, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
