KeyKOS is a persistent, pure capability-based operating system for the S/370 mainframe. It allowed emulation of the VM, MVS, and POSIX environments. It is a predecessor of EROS, the Extremely Reliable Operating System, as well as the Coyotos and CapROS operating systems.
