use of "rôle"

I understand that this spelling of "role" is still considered acceptable usage, but it seems like an unnecessary and distracting archaism in this article. As Wikipedia is written for a general audience, and especially as this article concerns a rather technical topic (readers may be confused and assume it's some linguistics term) it would make sense to move it. --129.11.12.201 (talk) 20:31, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
