How do Allegro and the Simple DirectMedia Layer library compare?

--Hirzel 13:50, 14 Sep 2003 (UTC) Excuse my lack of tabbage; I'm still new around these parts. This is commonly disputed. In general SDL is more common in commercial products. That's the bare facts. You really have to look at both and find what you like best. Allegro is more of a game library then anything, while SDL just gives the basics such as keyboard input, timers, imaging, and add on libraries for networking, sound, et cetera. I do not think there should be a section in the article about "Allegro vs. SDL"...
