The Cadet Organizations Administration and Training Service (COATS) (formerly Cadet Instructors Cadre) is a sub-component of the Canadian Forces Reserve Force. The majority of the personnel are members of the Cadet Instructors Cadre Branch of the Canadian Forces. General Service officers and non-commissioned members, of other branches, who have undertaken as their primary duty the supervision, administration and training of cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers are employed mostly at Regional Cadet Headquarters and during the summer at Cadet Summer Training Centres.
