In the mathematical field of descriptive set theory, the scale property is a property of certain pointclasses (collections of sets of real numbers, or more generally of elements of other Polish spaces). The scale property is a strengthening of the prewellordering property. It implies that relations in the given pointclass have a uniformization that is also in the pointclass.
