The International Journal of Computer Processing Of Languages (IJCPOL) was originally known as "the International Journal of Computer Processing of Oriental Languages". It was founded in 1983 and is published by World Scientific.

The journal covers research in various forms of human communication - visual, graphical, sign and textual; and also considers cultural and application differences. Some areas include Computational Linguistics; Information Extraction and Retrieval; as well as Sign and Graphical Languages Processing.

The current Editor-in-Chief is Professor Kam-Fai Wong of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
