The Journal of Web Semantics is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by Elsevier. It covers research and applications of subject areas that contribute to the development of a knowledge-intensive and intelligent service Web, including: knowledge technologies, ontology, software agents, databases and the semantic grid, information retrieval, human language technology, and knowledge discovery. Semantic web development is covered.

The editors-in-chief are T. Finin (University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA), R. Mizoguchi (Osaka University, Osaka, Japan) and S. Staab (Universität Koblenz-Landau, Landau, Germany).
