NANO is an international peer-reviewed journal for nanoscience and nanotechnology that presents breakthrough fundamental research and new emerging topics in those fields. Research topics covered include: nanomaterials, new phenomena and newly developed characterization tools, fabrication methods and numerical simulation, modeling, and theory.

The journal is published by World Scientific, with six issues released annually. As of 2009, the fourth volume has been released, amounting to a total of 18 issues published since its conception in 2006. The current issue covers topics such as a review on artificially designed DNA nanostructures, exploring DNA engineering through self-assembly.[1]

NANO has also been awarded an impact factor of 1.110.

The journal is now indexed and abstracted in:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded including the Web of Science
  • ISI Alerting Services
  • Materials Science Citation Index (MSCI)
  • Current Contents/Physical, Chemical & Earth Sciences (CC/PC&ES)
