Rosha is sub-caste or Gotra under Ahluwalia Misl, which was founded in mid eighteenth century by founder Milsdar ( Leader of the Misl), The very brave Sardar Jassa Singh Ahluwalia. Only a few family belonging to this Sub caste are known but they are among some of the most progressive and proud communities of Punjab. Rosha’s are renowned for energy, enterprise and obstinacy. It’s an old proverb “Death may budge but they won’t”. This surname could be found among both Sikh as well as Hindu families. This community has royalty in its blood being the descendents of the Ahluwalia Dynasty of Punjab.
