License tagging for Image:K-1 Fighting Network Official Fight Card.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:K-1 Fighting Network Official Fight Card.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:09, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Umi, the above message mentions that you did not indicate the source, or add the appropriate tag (it stayed for a week like that, please don't ignore such messages). I am not so much knowledgeable in this issues, but one thing I know is Wikipedia takes copyrights very seriously, and the images that we upload should also be free for commercial use (as there are commercial websites using wikipedia). Apparently your image has a copyright owner by US laws that did not relinquish his/her rights. You will need to get a full permission (including for commercial usage), and prove that you got that permission (it is OK if it is Creative Commons, which needs attribution to the owner). One way to prove is to make Wikipedia contact the copyright owner. Please see WP:C and WP:COPYREQ. Some non-free (fair use) images can also be used. Please see WP:FU for that. Please see also WP:ICT#List of image copyright tags which has links to lists of different type of image tags you can use. DenizTC 16:56, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

selam, wikipediada hiçbirşey silinmez, herşey page histroyde saklanmaktadır... geri getirebiliriz... ancak mevcut haliyle durması uygun değil, başlıklar aşırı uzun... ayrıca tek tek maçların anlatmaya kalkarsak işin içinden çıkamayız... --Deprem 14:37, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ben kendi fikrimi söyliyeyim... Bir kulübün tarihindeki "seçilmiş" maçların, detaylı hikayesinin ayrı ayrı anlatıldığı bir article hiç görmedim... Şu tip maddeler var: Beşiktaş J.K. records, Beşiktaş J.K. statistics, Beşiktaş J.K. in Europe... --Deprem 16:36, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BJK PAF Hakkinda..

Ben Fenerbahçeliyim ancak gerek Türk futbolu, gerekse Türkiye hakkinda mumkun oldugunca cok sayfa, dogru sayfa olusturmak istiyorum Wikipedia'da. O yuzden diger takimlarinin sayfalarina saldirmaktan ziyade onlara birseyler eklemek istiyorum.

I'm far from expert but any questions you have feel free to ask. uploading pictures and posters i just followed examples from MMA guys. Thailand vs Turkey sounds good. and Erhan is gonna have his hands full in Hungary this weekend. later. (Marty Rockatansky (talk) 22:48, 4 February 2008 (UTC))[reply]
Yeah i'd love to visit beautiful Istanbul, and one day i will. As far as Erhan's fight, i don't think he will have a problem with Morosanu but the tournament in Amsterdam it's gonna be huge for him. (70.173.212.198 (talk) 00:03, 5 February 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Re: Hi Palffy

Sure thing Umi1903! Only issue is I'm booked solid through Monday so I can give you a hand with this either then or Tuesday at the earliest (it doesn't take more than an hour to create one so its not too bad and then you or someone else can easily edit it from year to year if you'd like). The other thing I want you to consider in the meantime (and I'm debating this myself for the upcoming 2008-09 Ukrainian Premier League template) is whether we should include full club names in the map, such as /media/wikipedia/commons/e/ec/Ru%C3%9Fland_-_Premjer-Liga_2008_-_en.png or /media/wikipedia/commons/4/4f/Ligue1_07_08.jpg (these are the best two other club maps I was able to find on WP at this time..) Let me know which you think is best and we'll go from there.. --Palffy 20:29, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hakan Yakin

The thing about Hakan Yakin is that he was born in Switzerland, where the dotless I is not a legally-accepted character when registering births. Therefore, his name is Hakan Yakin, not Hakan Yakın. I don't know what other characters are accepted in Switzerland or other countries, but this is certainly the case with Hakan Yakin. – PeeJay 13:46, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thx for creating the page for him. one thing thou, if you don't mind i'm gonna move the article under his correct first name with double A's Aalviar Lima. congrats beating Czech in soccer that was unbelievable comeback. alright. take care. Marty Rockatansky (talk) 02:51, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your request on dewiki

From „http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer_Diskussion:Chumwa“:

Hi Chumwa,
Hope you do fine. Just seen your beautiful work with Russian football league map of competing teams. Masterpiece indeed! I need your wisdom, your help in this case. There are many leagues current season articles to be completed by these kind of maps. Could you tell me how you created this map, please? Did you use a kind of programme or it's just enough to make that with some internal progammes of Wikipedia? I am predominantly active at English version, so please do let me know about the topic mate. Look forward!
Cheers,
-user:Umi1903

Thx for the commendation! To create maps like this one you've mentined you have to use a program which can handle vector graphics (like Inkscape which is free or commercial products like Illustrator or CorelDraw). If visual appearence isn't essential you can work with location maps (see this example). In both cases you have to search for a suitable which you can use as background image for the labels. --Chumwa (talk) 10:03, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Compliment

Thank you :) I saw that you were very interested in football too. Cretanforever (talk) 18:23, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Korcan Çelikay

The article was deleted because he has not played in a fully professional league - the TFF Third League is not fully professional. If he makes a first team appearance for Besiktas or any other team in the Super Lig, then let me know and I'll restore the article. Until then, he fails the WP:ATHLETE guideline. Hope this explains the situation, пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:00, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think here the issue is in the definition of "professional". Some people use the term when referring to semi-professional leagues, i.e. ones where players are paid, but they also have day jobs. WP:ATHLETE demands fully-professional, i.e. no other job than football. As far as I'm aware, only England and Italy are fully professional at the fourth level. пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:24, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
